C.A.R.E. Inc. is pleased to provide or facilitate accommodations, including American Sign Language interpreters, assistive listening devices, and alternative formats of printed materials, upon request from persons who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing or are living with disabilities. Please request appropriate assistance from any of our staff.
•Safe Haven Free emergency shelter for you and your children in a safe non-violent setting. Relocation assistance for eligible victims.
•Safety Planning Leaving is always dangerous. Safely leaving is the goal. Call C.A.R.E. to help you plan to leave, or to help you stay home and stay safe.
•Counseling Individual and group counseling for all those affected by domestic violence and sexual abuse.
•Accompaniment One-to-one supportive assistance to victims of violent crime in hospital and court settings.
•Victim Advocacy Assisting victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, robbery, DUI, homicide and other violent crimes toinsure their interests are represented, and their rights upheld.
•Crime Victims Compensation Fund These funds are available through the State of Florida Office of the Attorney General for eligible victims of crime to pay for medical expenses, mental health counseling, lost wages, funeral expenses and loss of support for victim's dependents.
•Civil Legal Assistance to Victims Free civil legal assistance may be available if you are a victim of domestic violence, sexual assault, or stalking.
•Coordination of Services It is the policy of C.A.R.E. to foster cooperation among all agencies involved with victims of crime; to seek to avoid duplication of services; to promote effectiverelationships with diverse agencies; and to encourage collaboration with other organizations.
